Monday was just like Sunday. Which was just like today .
Stuck at home. Teeth aching from too much sugar. Wearing the same Lulu yoga pants. Sitting in the same chair in the kitchen. Typing on the same computer. Eyes still blurring over too much screen time.
Dock still submerged by water.
Streets still flooded. Rain still pouring from the sky. Wind still blowing. Tropical Storm Debby still sitting over the Gulf of Mexico.
Around noon on Monday, we ventured out in my mom’s SUV during low tide. Mission Car Rescue Attempt #4 was a success! The back roads were still pretty flooded but a lot had drained.
And there was my car. Still perched on the lawn next to knee deep water. The engine actually started up but made these weird gurgling noises and started shaking. Not a good sign. However, we were able to back it off the lawn and park it on the street.
Later on it was towed to the Toyota dealership where they will replace the engine. We will get it back in 2 weeks or so. UGH. So glad this ordeal is over. Unless that lady wants to fight me. Then it’s on.
Daily Workout
Stuck at home, I coerced Taylor into doing Fitnessista’s Summer Shape-Up Workout #3 with me. We set up our weights and yoga mats in the living room and started blasting One Direction. We warmed up to “One Thing” and “What Makes You Beautiful” by busting out some sweet dance moves. It rocked.
We both loved the workout! It was tough and we were dripping sweat and gasping for breath. That’s a good workout in my book.
Then I watched The Bachelorette. I still can’t pick my favorite guy. Arie is a little too wishy washy. Sean seems like a good guy but not a good match for Emily. Chris was my favorite until he went a little cray cray. And Jef is soft-spoken in a creepy way.
Also what is up with his hair?

So I just wrote out a long rant about how in love I am with Jef and how Chris has freaky temper issues. And then I caught Austin reading it over my shoulder and realized how embarrassing it was. I need a life.
…but really, CHRIS??? SERIOUSLY???
Hahaha! Poor Austin… Please post this rant soon! I would read it. Bachelorette is so bad that it’s good.
I loved Chris from the beginning but he’s going to explode. Not so attractive! And Jef’s hair… wtf.
I hope your car is okay! Hopefully all this rain is just about over.
The car is kaput! They are putting in a new engine but that is going to be some $$$. Ugh. Hope you were safe and dry (enough) in Orlando! The sun finally came out over here.
