The sun is out! The sky is blue!
It is a welcome sight. I almost forgot what the sun looked like. Though I probably should get used to that. Shanghai is not the sunniest place in the world….
With the sunshine came dry streets and the ability to actually drive to work Wednesday. It was nice getting out of the house. Not so nice working but I can deal :-).
Taking advantage of the lingering light, I hopped on my bike and rode to the gym after work. Debris and dirt from the flooding made for a very dusty ride. Also, the mosquitoes were out in full force, pelting my face as I rode along. It’s super fun when you catch them in your mouth. Yay protein!
At the gym I completed a full-body workout which felt so good. I just love lifting weights. It burns so good.
At 8pm I left the gym and found it to be still light with the moon rising slowly in the sky. It was so beautiful.
The parks downtown are still a little flooded which created a beautiful reflection during sunset.
Sometimes the beauty of St. Petersburg catches me by surprise. So do the mosquitos which started attacking my legs around the puddles of still water. Whoops.
I will miss this.
