Did you know that northern Italy looks like this?
The Italy I know is sunny, warm, and flat with terraces of olive groves and ancient marble cathedrals. So arriving in the Alps was a shock to say the least. Italy has mountains?? I could get used to this. Especially when I am fed cheese and can wander the winding streets of rural towns nestled in the hillside.
Welcome to the north.
