What do you do when you’re feeling blue?
When you eat 10 cookies after listening to nutrition classes?
When your wonderful boyfriend has no cellphone?
When your wonderful boyfriend finally shows up on your front step 2 hours after you get home?
When you are jealous of your dad for working out in those 2 hours?
This is what you do.
You eat dinner.
Struggle with your bad mood.
Convince your wonderful boyfriend to go to the gym at 8:30pm.
Arrive downtown at dusk.
Enter and silently snicker at grand but cheesy lobby of your boyfriend’s condo.
Go to the gym and kick your own butt.

Drip sweat on the gym floor like it’s no one’s business.
Feel good. Smile for the first time all evening.
Go for a late night swim with wonderful boyfriend.
Freeze your butt off.
Run away cursing from freezing and windy pool.
Take hot shower.
