How can you drive next to the most spectacular rainbow ever on your commute and NOT have an amazing day?
Yesterday I literally had the biggest smile on my face. The rainbow was full and glowed for almost the entire drive. At some points there was also a double rainbow! At every stoplight I would glance around at other drivers, willing them to turn and witness the beauty around us. Maybe it would make everybody calmer and better drivers! A girl can dream…
The drive home was the complete opposite. It was pouring!
It was actually really scary and I am grateful my dad was driving. What a great dad!
Daily Workout
Even though I was absolutely exhausted, I was excited to go to the gym! My booty is still so so so sore (4 days! Omg DOMS!) so I passed up a strength workout for some steady state cardio instead. Needed to get that blood flowing to help repair my shredded booty. Sounds awkward right?
I spent 30 minutes on the stationary bike and 30 minutes on the stair master doing intervals. It was a sweaty, lung-burning workout! Followed up by lots of stretching of course.
I stretch after EVERY SINGLE WORKOUT. Without fail. No workout is complete without a good stretch. Stretching improves range of motion, strength, and performance and reduces risk of injuries and imbalances in the body. Stretching is also directly correlated to decreased soreness after a difficult workout.
I can only imagine how much more sore I would be if I didn’t stretch Saturday. Ouch.
So stretch! What do you have to lose?
