Despite my crazy brush with death Sunday (OK still being overdramatic, but it was scary!), the rest of the evening rocked.
Why did it rock?
Because Team Jef prevailed!! (um where can I get this baby’s shirt??)
Despite my initial misgivings towards Jef and his Flock of Seagull’s hair, he eventually won me over with his adventurous spirit, witty humor, and sweet eloquence. I guess I should say he won Emily over. Same difference. Sunday’s finale had me squealing and cheering with trepidation then glee. Just ask Taylor.
Did I mention that he also dresses extremely well?? He needs to give Peter some fashion advice. Without the Coach bag. Yay I am so happy for them!
You’re probably also wondering what this BIG NEWS is. I tweeted about it yesterday:
Big news everybody! Big life-alternating things will never be the same news! Check out my blog later tonight for all the juicy details 😉

Well. Here it goes…
I AM MOVING TO CHINA.
Yes, that’s correct. CHINA.
I am moving to Shanghai in less than two months to be with my boyfriend and become a personal trainer. In addition to training clients, I will continue working for my current company as a consultant while studying to become a Health Coach with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
I finally got my visa back Monday and am currently looking for flights in mid-September. This sounds absolutely insane but honestly I have been considering this move for more than a year. Peter and I have been wanting to jump start our life together but I needed to be 100% ready.
I am ready. After 2 visits to China and finding the courage to pursue my passion for health and fitness, I am so prepared for this next step. It’s a big step. Or should I say, a big hole to the other side of the world!
I will continue to update this blog with details on my move as they become more clear. 2 months!!!
Daily Workout
Now back to your regular programming….
Monday was the start of Best Body Bootcamp!! It was an upper-body workout that left my shoulders dying. Oh boy oh boy oh boy they are sore!!! So far, I am loving this program.
After working out, Taylor and I made some dinner. Actually, Taylor made dinner and whipped up a delicious spicy Sichuan stir-fry. And she wonders why I want to go to China!
Taylor studied abroad in Beijing for 9 months and likes to make traditional Chinese dishes every once and a while. If you didn’t notice, my family loves China. My dad is obsessed. My mom… not so much. It will be interesting trying to get her to visit…
And of course, Florida did it again and wowed us with a spectacular sunset.
Allie suggested downloading the free app PostalPix that allows you to print Instagram photos. She said this would look lovely printed on aluminum and I totally agree. Like she said… “a nice memory of FL”.
I think I’ll have plenty of those :-).
Congratulations!!!! What big and exciting news! I’m sad that you won’t be blogging about Florida soon, but I’m so excited to hear about your adventures in China!
You got to keep up the Florida adventures for me!
LOVE THIS POST FOR SO MANY REASONS!!!!
Hahaha. Yay!! What do you like best? Jef’s hair? 😉
Oh, WOW!!! That is insanely awesome! So happy for you!!!
And as trivial as it seems now, I just watched Bachelorette last night and was so happy they seem so happy together still. They’re cute together.
Thanks so much Tina!! I am so excited. Btw, I am LOVING your Bootcamp program so far! That leg workout… killer but so good.
It’s so funny how invested we get in these TV relationships. I just hope Emily and Jef last and make lots of blonde babies with pompadours.
WOW!!! Congratulations!! That is so incredibly exciting!! It’s hard to make such a big decision, and I love how brave you are to have done so. It is definitely scary knowing you’ll be moving so far away, though; I’m moving to Alaska this time next year! Tons and tons of luck on the moving process!! 🙂
Thank you so much!! Your move to Alaska sounds exciting as well! I have a couple of friends who live there and absolutely love it. Alaska is probably the exact opposite of Shanghai so I look forward to reading about your adventures!
